Reengagement Supervisor and Youth Academic Navigator (YAN)
This is a dual role. The D2 Center Reengagement Supervisor will supervise other staff members who are doing reengagement work with Omaha Public Schools (OPS) students who have withdrawn from school but are eligible to enroll. The Supervisor will maintain contact with appropriate OPS staff members and will manage and update a spreadsheet dedicated to the task of reengagement. The YAN builds a positive and supportive relationship with assigned youth, contacts youth regularly to determine levels of engagement in school and need for non-academic services, motivates the youth to remain engaged and advance toward a high school diploma, intervenes and assists if the youth is in crisis, and directs youth to available resources in the community.
Youth Academic Navigator (YAN)
Join our team of seven YANs. The D2 Center YAN builds a positive and supportive relationship with assigned youth, contacts youth regularly to determine levels of engagement in school and non-academic services, motivates the youth to remain engaged and advance toward a high school diploma, intervenes and assists if the youth is in crisis, and directs youth to available resources in the community.
