The D2 Center partnered with the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) this summer in June and July and is offering three classes to D2 Center students and a few other OPS students who are trying to graduate. All the classes are taught remotely utilizing Zoom meetings, cell phone, and email. Twenty-nine students are taking 41 classes including an English elective and a new D2 Center elective, “Navigating Your Future.” The English elective is taught by Jodie Martinez and Kathy Kocsis. Navigating Your Future is taught by Ms. Martinez and Clem Bell. Special units in this new class are taught by math teacher Terry Kocsis and D2 Center Career Navigators John Moore and Bette Norton Ball. All D2 Center teachers are Nebraska-certified. Many of the students are also taking virtual classes through OPS. Best wishes to these students to earn as many credits as possible this summer!
