Omaha Area Health Education Center (AHEC) will conduct CPR / FIRST AID / AED Training at the D2 Center on Friday, March 6, 2015, from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This training is FREE to D2 Center students.
This certification will not only help you save lives of people you love, it also makes your resume stand out as someone who is prepared to help in the work place. Holding this certification puts your name at the top of the list for the following job openings: Childcare positions, lifeguarding, shipping/receiving/warehouse, healthcare positions, and children entertainment sites.
The word from AHEC:
During this course certification, participants will learn to recognize and respond to breathing emergencies in infants, children and adults, recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illness, head, neck and back injuries and heat and cold emergencies. This training will include the most up to date science on issues that may arise in any public or workplace setting. In addition, you will receive AED training. AED training is perfect for individuals who want to become an effective user of an automatic external defibrillator in emergencies. This course will teach proper use of the AED and its use in conjunction with CPR.
